Meshack Boitumelo Maforah was born on 19 June 1953 in Klerksdorp, the firstborn of Keoagile George and Mmamoruti Susan Maforah. He began his schooling at Masedi Primary and continued at Boitumelo Higher Primary. He later attended Hebron College in Pretoria, completing matric in 1973.

Academics & Career
He studied at the University of North West and completed postgraduate studies in Management, Marketing, and Finance at UCT in 1985. His career spanned government departments and senior roles at the University of North West. He also served in leadership at the Independent Development Trust and as COO at Reach and Teach, contributing significantly to education and development.

He was a devoted Seventh-day Adventist, actively involved in church and community upliftment. He was married to Fidelia Nopasika Maforah and was blessed with three sons and two adopted daughters. His life reflected deep faith, service, and commitment to family.
